Very interesting indeed, I just heard about this on CNN. Palm and Microsoft teaming up on a new smartphone, that's incredible.

The rumurs and some very early leaked pics showed up a couple of months back. I would rather of had Symbian in the new Treo, a much better fit IMHO then Windows Mobile. I know a lot of people will be sad to see the Palm OS disapear, but it was really lagging in the multimedia side of things, it is one reason why I went with the PPC6600. The Treo 650 would of cost me more because of all the programs I would have to buy to make it do the same things the 6600 did right out of the box.

Some are reporting a Palm version 700P to come out in the future along with the Windows version 700W.

That definitely makes sense, I hadn't considered that abbreviation as a possibility.

700w device has great usability. And right, it has most of miminum required applications already installed with Windows Mobile OS.

But there are always additional applications that can make your device more productive and useful for you. For example cash manager, weather forecast, image viewer and editor, stopwatch on PDA screen, cool games.

Cheers,
Victor
