|  new Alltel digital areas in UP?
I am a VZW customer that travels to the UP in Michigan. I have a digital only phone; as such, I'm interested in learning of any new digital service areas that Alltel might have turned on since early February (Baraga was just turned on when I was there in early Feb). Any one with familiarity with Alltel's digital service have any info? Thank you. |

Any Alltel network guys out there know when all base stations nationwide will be 1XRTT ready??

In the eastern UP there is digital AllTell coverage in St Ignace. I know there is digital coverage in Marquette as well. In Sault Ste Marie RFB wireless has the only digital coverage available. AllTell is supposed to go digital in Sault Ste Marie, but they are having problems with the FCC. THeir towers will interfere with Canadian towers so I have no idea when ALLTELL will go digital in the Sault.
