I'm using a deactivated Sprint BB, so I don't think it makes a difference. As far as I know, the Cell BID is reported by the tower. I'm not sure why so many other utils report only PN offsets. It's unfortunate that VZW cells don't report their GPS coords. The Sprint sites all do, and it makes for easy mapping. |

Stranger and stranger. I did some driving around yesterday and noticed some weird things. I don't think the tower I was looking at was showing consecutive #'s for each sector. I did a 1/2 mile radius on a clearly identified Verizon site and I know there are no other sites within a couple miles and the base ID's were not even close to each other. Also one sector was showing a 30-1-xxxx and another sector was showing 30-2-xxxx. I know the 30 is the SID for VZW but I have no idea what the 1 and 2 were for. I will have to go back and check the website to see if there was any explanations on that. Next week I will recheck when I have an activated VZW Blackberr Tour |
