On Monday of this week the City of Thousand Oaks approved a collocation project between Nextel and Cingular to be located just above the Sheriff's station on Olsen Road. Nextel has been operating with a COW, and Cingular has been operating on three separate poles with one panel per pole/sector. The new design calls for a single monopole, with three panels for Nextel, three existing panels for Cingular, and three new panels for Cingular (total of 9 panels). If anyone's hunting to take a snapshot of a COW, better hurry to the Ventura County East Valley Sheriff's Station (Olsen Road east of SR23) before Nextel get's its new pole up.
