A traffic camera caught this shot of a cell site in NYC. If anyone can identify where exactly this is, then we can post it in the cell site gallery. I am not entirely sure since I can't read the highway signs, but one of them looks like it says "Triborough Br"

This does not look as if it were taken from an offical NYC camera, as they are always mounted on the road itself, and this has the wrong time stamp. But if you want to search, go nuts! http://nyctmc.org/

BTW, the timestamps are correct. But the airplane on the second picture indicates it is most likely very close to La Guardia or JFK. I tend to think this is the Grand Central, westbound moving away from the camera.

Ok...i'll one up you for traffic cams finding cell sites. The carriers in the Buffalo area love to add panels on power lines that run along the highways, this one........... ok, as I was doing a screen shot, they moved the position of the camera and it no longer shows the sites. However, here is another site down the highway about a mile. Enough carriers on that sucker? (already in the tower list) |
