I have seen towers on a manmade island in the water of a river....so I don't think your application (I saw your welcome thread post) is all that strange. The flood plain thing will just affect their installation method and insurance. Have they (the carrier/site acquisition folks) done a Phase 2 survey on the lot?

Wow, that really gives me encouragement. No survey yet. This is just day #2 since I e-mailed property information they requested. I'll keep you posted.

How long do you think it takes to advance to the Survey stage? I read somewhere that the process goes pretty fast if they're interested.

Here in Southern California Sprint has a tower on a small oil drilling Island called Rincon in Mussel Shoals right off Hwy 101 between Ventura and Santa Barbara. Can't get close enough to take pictures.

Thanx, Larry. Yesterday EdgeWireless notified us that our site in the floodplain, along the river, is not a good candidate for their technology now. It was disappointing because we certainly need cell coverage in this canyon.
