Question Motorola H700 bluetooth headset

i have a Motorola H700 headset that i got when they first came out i am guessing its about a year and have old to two years old any way i can't remember how old it is.it started to give trouble about a month ago with weak signal it would not stay connected with my moto v3c. it kelp on working a little until i had to have the thing right on top of my phone just to get it to connect and today it want even do that.i am sure i didn't take care of it like i should because i all way's left it in the car summer and winter i know this couldn't been good for it but at the time i didn't think about that. i have looked in the paper work that came with it but i didn't see anything about the care of it. well today i got a new H700C and their is nothing in the papers about care or leaving it in the car. i would think that the freezing weather and hot summer days with temp well over 100 in cars has got to be bad for it. i want to take care of this one better but i have searched the INTERNET and Motorola's web site but i can't find anything about care of a H700. if any one has any comments about the care of it i would like to know. it was just more convenient to leave it in the car all the time but i don't think that is the best thing to do to the H700. .

I've heard that there were problems with the first version of the H700 firmware. If its under a year old you can get it exchanged through warranty, but otherwise you're probably stuck with it.

Question Re: Motorola H700 bluetooth headset

it is the B version and it is a couple years old i guess i got it right after the H700 came out. the new one that i got yesterday is the C version. i have being trying to fine care instructions for it but so far no luck. i think that keeping the old one in the car all the times with the temperature extremes had to shorting its life.

i have a h700C. as a rule of thumb i try to always make sure i keep indoors, i agree that extreme temps one way or the other could possibly ruin it, specifically over an extended period of time in direct sun.

in the humid climate we have down here, i have seen phones develop water damage just by being left inside of a hot/humid car on a summers day...so this could happen just as easily to a bluetooth i believe.

either way tho its a great bluetooth, ive always had good luck with mine.

All of mine are the B version as well. I have not had any problems with mine. I think the one with problems was the A version.

Just using some common sense, like keeping your device from extreme temperatures will prolong it's life.

I regularly listen to internet radio over my Motorola S9's while sitting in the sauna @ the gym. Never really had a problem. I do securely wrap the Tilt up in a towel so it doesn't get warm in there though. I figure a headset I spent $50 on can be expendable. A phone that costs $500 out of contract is not.

True, but maybe not everyone has $50 to steam in a sauna like you.
