Default Bluetooth headset recommendations.

What bluetooth headsets are you using that you really like, and why? I was using the H500 with my LG and Motorola phones, but I need to purchase a new headset now. Any recommendations would be appreciated.
TIA.

Hi MobilPrincess,

I absolutly LOVE my LG HBM-730. I bought it about 9 months ago at Best Buy for around $70. It has a thin ear band that works well for me since I wear glasses most of the time. Most other brands would knock my glasses askew or fall off when I changed to my sun glasses. This baby has staying power and yet, it is so small and light that I forget it is there. It works with the voice activation on my Razr V3m phone from Verizon and the battery life is fabulous. I only use it when I'm driving (mostly) and I drive about 2 hours a day. I only have to charge it once every 3 weeks or so. No, I'm not kidding. Obviously the more I talk, the faster the drain but I have yet to find anything comparable.

Just my 2 cents worth.

Regards,
Stephanie

My favorite is my Motorola H700. I think its the best on the market. It also uses the same mini usb charger that the new motorola phones do so you should have pleanty of chargers. I like to charge mine in the car overnight, and its right there when I get in the car in the morning, charged and ready to go.

How is the battery life on the H700?

Thanks hf1khal. Did you buy yours off of eBay or from a store? I'm not sure if I should get one off of eBay or not. If I purchase one from a store in my area, I'll be able to return/exchange it.
Hopefully the H700 will be as good as the H500. The H500 always worked well for me, no matter what handset I was using it with.

I also have the H500 and it is as good and if not better. I bought mine from ebay as it was not out here, but now you can find it almost any where at a good price. I am also sure that you will end up liking it and most likely never returning it.

I highly recommend the Jabra JX10. It's a great headset, and small. Also, I have a Nokia BH-800 which I love as well. They are both really small, and you hardly notice them on your ear.

Thanks iamdrumming. If the H700 doesn't work out for me, I'll look into these two, and the one that Stephanie had mentioned above.

I had tried the H500 before, but at the time I felt the price wasn't worth what it was - a revamped HS820. Now that the price has come down I don't think it would be a bad choice, but the H700 has noise cancellation, the ability to do a 3 way call from the headset, and you can put it in your pocket without it making calls every time you bump it. That gives the H700 a big advantage in my book.

Thanks Tony. Three questions, when ya get a minute to respond.
1) How is the battery life ?
2) How does this headset stay in your ear? (It looks to me like it would keep falling out.)
3) Does it work well with all of your handsets?

1) Battery life is not the greatest, about 4 hours talktime, but i'm not one of those that takes this thing everywhere, you know like some folks having dinner or at a movie.
2) It actually stays in your ear pretty good, it comes with different size ear-gels.
3) So far yes, and it comes in black, red, white and silver.

PS: beware of counterfits, i.e. E-Bay.

1) Or like those poor Track, and swimming moms who are busy talking and timing at the same time. Yes, I do know the type.

3) what? No blue colored one.

4) I think I've pretty much R/O purchasing one from eBay.

Tony, from the looks of the "Compatibility List" in this ebay link: eBay: Samsung OEM WEP200 Bluetooth Headset REAL GENUINE BLACK (item 140130867094 end time Jun-20-07 12:02:36 PDT), it doesn't look like any of the CDMA handsets that I am currently using (LG 9900, LG 8300, and the Motorola E815) would work....... Do you know if this headset is compatible with CDMA handsets?....... Also, I can't find it in any of the stores that I have looked in so far. I did see it online at BestBuy, so I will look there later on this week.

PS: I'm not going to buy one from eBay. I only posted that link so you could see what I'm referring to........ I did find one bluetooth headset that looks nice, and it is blue too!!! Motorola H800 : Motorola Motorola Bluetooth Headset H800

Thanks in advance.

Hi Princess. I use the Logitech Mobile Traveler (Cnet Reviews.) It is not an earbud style but over-the-ear. I prefer the over-the-ear style. The sound is acceptable and it seems to connect OK to the handset.

The over-the-ear piece does seem to dig in after extended wearing. This is the very first Bluetooth headset I've had and thus have no basis for other comparison. I use it with a Treo 700wx.

Good luck.

Some of my co-workers that use CDMA handsets really liked my wep200 and are using theirs with no problems, Sprint, T-Mobile and Cingular all carry the wep200, you can go there and test one out just to be sure, not sure if VZW carries it since i don't currently used any CDMA handsets but i don't see why it wouldn't work with a CDMA handset since bluetooth headset connectivity is standard and not just for use with GSM technology.

Tony, this is what I was thinking as well, but when I looked at the compatibility list for this headset, there were no CDMA handsets listed...... I have already checked all of the wireless carrier stores in my area, and none of them carry any Samsung headsets..... BestBuy may have one that I can look at, since they have this model listed on their website.
Thanks for taking the time to reply.

With a quick glance at the compatibility list you posted, I see two Verizon (CDMA) Motorolas, V710 & E815 in there.
