It has recently come across my desk there is a website giving away free iPod mini's. So naturally I went to check it out. Apparently, if you sign up for one of their marketing partners offers (examples are sign up for AOL, sign up for Ancestry.com, sign up for Columbia House DVD, etc.) then you are eligible to receive an iPod mini. The further catch is that you need to give FIVE people to sign up for one of these offers to receive the iPod. Being the skeptic of all skeptics, I thought this was too good to be true. UNTIL I did some research and found out the company is legit. They've done similar promotions and they deal directly with Apple for the iPods. In fact, I now have sworn testimony from people who have just received them so it's the real deal. In addition, a few people have even went as far as to tell you which offer to sign up for because you can cancel the next day. Everyone recommends you sign up for the Ancestry.com offer because you can call (or e-mail) the very next day and cancel BUT you still get immediate credit for the free iPod. So, I've already signed up and I'm asking you fine upstanding citizens sign up as well. In return, you can now do the same thing I'm doing with your co-workers and the other people you pay to be your friend. Here is my link to use if you choose to do this: http://www._________.com/default.aspx?referer=6769186 I don't normally do this MLM crap, but this one seems real. ~troublz~ P.S. I take no responsbility should you not receive your iPod, I'm in this just as much as anyone else! |

Not sure about which site you were using. Here's what I can tell you about this one: 1) The people who I know that HAVE received their iPods selected the 15GB iPod over the Mini iPod and got it fairly quickly (about 2 weeks after order) 2) The site updates your status when it comes to the number of offers you've completed as well as the actual order of the iPod (ordered vs. shipping, etc.) 3) When the site indicated the iPod is ordered you can call Apple directly and look up your order. Several people have done this and Apple confirmed the order is in the system and processing. 4) Certain popular colors of the iPod mini are backordered all over including directly with Apple. Currently, Apple's website indicated 4 weeks for an iPod mini. Therefore, if you really want an iPod SOONER through the above site, I recommend choosing the 15GB model. Hope this helps and good luck. ~troublz~ |

This sounds an awful lot like a Ponzi scheme. Eventually (rather quickly) there will not be enough people to sustain it. The first couple of layers of people make out well, but it does not last.

So the bottom line is that I have to sign up for a service that I don't need and I have to find 5 friends willing to sign up for something they don't need either just so that I can get an IPOD mini? One of my friends in particular would call me a cheap bastard and tell me to just buy it outright. Not worth the trouble.

Over at the FlyerTalk forums, people report that they are actually getting free iPods shipped to them from a site called _________.com. If you want to help me out (and get one yourself - or the $250 iTunes gift certificate they're giving out): 1. Go here http://www._________.com/default.aspx?referer=7033402 2. Register and sign up for one of their "offers." I recommend using the Ancestry.com offer because it doesn't cost anything and you can cancel immediately. 3. That's it. You then have to refer 5 people to get your iPod. I wouldn't normally go for this sort of thing, and I'm not some spam-happy affiliate of _________.com: I researched the site and found out that people are actually getting iPods. I think this might just work. Good luck and thanks! |

Here is my referral code if anyone is interested in helping a broke college kid get an iPod and not have to pony up $250 that I could otherwise spend on books and tuition. http://www._________.com/default.aspx?referer=7115839 My suggestion is to sign up at Ancestry.com. It's easy to complete the requirements and it’s free for 14 days. An added bonus is there are no s/h charges like some of the other offers and you will receive credit for signing up immediately even if you decide to cancel that same day. Any help here is greatly appreciated. |

I am sure you all have heard about teh free ipod offers by now and are wodnering for yourself how legitimate they are, i too was the same until i actually saw someone (my brother) do it. So Hey, i am trying to get in on this too. I already have a few people under me and its only been 2 days. its actually alot easier than i thought. My brother did it, and i thought i should get in on the action too. so if you want a free ipod click on the link below. you have to register with an online offer. various things like credit cards or book clubs. the easiest one to do is ANCESTRY.com because you can just call them up the next day and cancel your membership, and you are still given credit for it. good luck. thanks for helping me out. http://www._________.com/default.aspx?referer=7152142 |

here's a detailed way on how to get your Ipod 1. Click on this link: http://www._________.com/default.aspx?referer=7134525 2. Sign up for the service, be sure to provide a valid email address and home address and whatnot. If you messed up, you can change the information before your iPod is mailed to you. 3. After signing up and confirming your email, you have to sign up for one of their affiliated services. It's your choice on what you sign up with, but if you follow my guide, you can get out of this without paying a cent. (Don't get scared! This is the part I feared the most too, but if you follow this guide then you will have nothing to worry about) 4. Choose the Ancestry Site. Unlike all the other services, IMMEDIATELY after you sign up for the ancestry site, your account will get credited with signing up for the services, this means you can cancel the service immediately and you'll get credit for it. 5. Sign up for the ancestry site. You WILL need your credit card to sign up for it, but if you follow this guide and cancel the service within two weeks, your card wont get charged a cent. Immediately after you sign up, your account will get credited, which means the ancestry site means nothing, unless you wanna dig up your ancestors =P. PLEASE NOTE: BEFORE YOU GET ALL SCARED BECAUSE YOU NEED TO USE YOUR CREDIT CARD KNOW THAT YOU ARE NOT GIVING YOUR CREDIT CARD TO THE IPOD SITE. YOU ARE GIVING IT TO WWW.ANCESTRY.COM. YOU WILL HAVE A TWO WEEK PERIOD IN WHICH YOU CAN CALL THEIR SERVICE AND CANCEL IT, THUS GETTING CREDITED WITHOUT PAYING A PENNY. IT IS FOOL-PROOF IF YOU DO SO! 6. Once you've signed up, you need to call this number: 1-800-262-3787 and pick option 4. 7. You're gonna speak to a representative to cancel your service. Say your name...and that you want to cancel. They're gonna try and steer you away from canceling with some stuff about blah blah blah, just hold to your word and keep saying you wish to cancel. In the end they'll cancel it and give you your confirmation number. You're done! 8. So now you've credited your account as signing up for their services, yet you canceled the service immediately after signing up. The last thing you have to do to get your I-Pod is send your referral link to 5 friends and have them do the exact same thing you just did. 9. Your iPod will be sent to your home address via FedEx within a week. |

| http://www.freeipodforum.tk/ I decided since I have nothing to lose I would give this a try and low and behold, I've finished my referrals and recieved a confirmation email today stating that my ipod will be shipped soon. But to help those out who still need referrals, I've included the conga line forum I used to fulfill my referral requirements (and it only took a few days). http://www.freeipodforum.tk/ Good luck! |

If you don't know what a conga line is, this is how it works: You sign up on the website for the person currently in the #1 position and are placed at the end of the list. When the #1 person gets his referrals, the #2 person becomes #1 and so on... Basically, the point of conga lines is to make the referral-getting process easier for everyone. Most conga lines are really disorganized, but my recommendation is www.ipoded.tk since it has a very clear design... and I received my referrals overnight using it... |

kas141, I clicked on your link and completed the survey along with the BMG music service offer. My account has not yet shown that I've completed the offer. I went to the freeipod help section and they said it would take up to 15 days for it to show up as completed. My email address for paypal is bdogjamin@yahoo.ie For everyone else, Keep the dream alive: http://www._________.com/default.aspx |
