i have a bb curve through verizon but my service was disconnected. can i take my phone and turn it into a prepaid phone?? if so, which pp service would you recommend?

Since it is a verizon phone, why not ask them? You would not be able to use this with any other carrier since it non GSM and cannot take a SIM card.

In the case of Verizon Prepaid: the answer is no, since VZW does not allow BlackBerry phones onto its prepaid service. If MetroPCS or Cricket are available in your area, they MAY be able to flash the phone over to their service. However, but you will likely have the phone only for voice and text... and the phone will only work in certain areas.
