Default Visual Voicemail soon for the Bold?

On the beta version of the Bold firmware 4.6.219, under applications is BlackBerry Visual Voicemail.

Here is an screenshot from BGR:

User's say when they click on the icon it shows "provisioning unsuccessful", so at&t hasn't put the info for it in their service books yet.

IMO, I think it will be about 2 months before at&t releases this for the public. Hopefully they don't charge an extra $5.00 per month for it.

If this turns out to be true, this will be good news. Thanks for the information Alienware_51. I currently have firmware 4.6.216 on my Bold.

No problem. I have 4.6.190 on mine. I haven't experienced any bugs on it yet, although I know there are some, but they don't bother me. But I still may upgrade because I have OCD about keeping my berrry up to date.

It would be awesome to have Visual VM on the Bold. I loved that feature when I had my iPhone 3G.

This just in from CrackBerry from a helpful member.

The details for the Visual Voicemail extracted from the package files.

About BlackBerry Visual Voice Mail:
-Listen to a voice mail message
-Return a call
-Reply to a voice mail with an email, SMS text, or MMS message
-Forward a voice mail
-Save a voice mail
-Change your voice mail greeting
-Change your voice mail password
-Change how your device downloads voice mail

Legal notice:
BlackBerry® Visual Voice Mail allows you to view your voice mail on your BlackBerry device in a message list so that you can quickly see the details of a voice mail, such as the sender, the length of the message, and the date and time. You can pause or fast-forward a voice mail, or listen to your voice mail in any order.

When you receive a new voice mail, it appears automatically in your BlackBerry Visual Voice Mail message list and the main message list, but you can set how your device downloads the audio file. You can set your device to download the audio file automatically each time that you receive a voice mail, or only when you choose to listen to the voice mail. You can also prevent your device from automatically downloading the audio file when you are roaming.

The features sound nice to me. Now I wonder how long it will be before the Visual VM is officially released. From what I have read on other forums, it seems like AT&T likes to take their time when releasing new BB firmware. If they release a beta that fully supports the new Visual VM I will install it provided that it doesn't have bugs (or at least noticeable bugs).

Or you can get it now for FREE by downloading the youmail client to your blackberry and signing up with them. I had this running for awhile on my Storm, work really well, and best part it is FREE. You can check it out here

I signed up for this service. It is not bad and I like it. One of my complaints is that when it sends you the message as an .mp3 attachment the volume seems muffled to me. I checked my settings and the volume on my Bold is turned all the way up. When I listen to .mp3's on my Bold via my memory card, the volume is loud.

Yeah, it actually works pretty well. The only reason I dumped it is becuase the storm comes with Verizon's visual voice mail already installed and running. I was going to cancel that and keep the free one, but if you go on line and attempt to cancel visual voice mail, you have to then select basic voice mail. Saw no need to have both basic voice mail and visual voice mail. So I just disabled the free client and went back to the Verizon visual voice mail. Figured I was already paying for it, might as well just keep it.
