For example to send a text message the address is xxx-xxxx@vtext.com. To send a picture you would send it to xxx-xxxx@vzwpics.com (or something like that). Usually you don't have to address it manually, just choose sending text or picture, the software takes care of the rest. I would suggest contacting Alltell and see what they say. | |

i found out from AllTell there's a problem with the phone, according to AllTell, it's suppose to be fixed in the next update, the keys have a light sencor on it, when it's light out it dosen,t turn on, when its dark or dim lighting, it will turn on.

So then you have alltel correct? I think on the Sprint blackberry pearl you dont have MMS could this be the same on the Alltel one?? Someone please correct me if I am wrong. The Verizon pearl has it.

| I believe all BB's do that. Thats what the app BB Light over rides. You set it activate on startup. Then you can set it so that the lights and the screen light up brightly on user activity, on removal from holster etc. Give it a try, if it does not work you can remove it.

What is BB? I've found if I put my finger over the LED it will turn on. My backlight was acting weird so I turned it off

go to this address...geekandproud.net and download the color pearl program free.............this will let you change your track ball all different colors after you download it go to options>colorpearl, and set it up how you want...its a fun program for your pearl...you can go to the url through the browser on your pearl and download directly to the device

Hi, I live in Italy and have a Blackberry Pearl 8100. I am getting a service plan through "3" here in Naples. Once I have internet access am I able to load these apps u suggest without having blackberry service? Thanks.

I spoke with the people at RIM today and they told me that the 8130 is more than capable of doing MMS messages. The problem is with Alltel. I was transfered over to Alltel at which time the tech told me that they are having licensing agreement issues and that is why we are not able to use the MMS feature. Call and bug Alltel until they fix this problem!
