Thumbs up BlackBerry Curve 8310 review

This is my BlackBerry Curve 8310 (at&t) review:

What came in the box-

BlackBerry Curve 8310
wall charger
manual
stero headset
battery
at&t how-to quick start up guide

Strength of the phone-

So far my Curve has gone through me dropping about 15 times from my holster. It has been accidentally set in gravy which covered the entire back of the phone. Since daily use the phone overall doesnt sqeak or creak (I absolutley hate it when my phone creaks when I'm trying to type an email or text message).

Reception/call quality-

The overall reception on the Curve I think is better than the RAZR's and BB 8700g's reception. I can hold calls better through the dead/low area of service north of Rogers City. The call quality on the Curve is way better than the 8700g I previously had. It is very crisp and clear. No "clicks" when on a call, unlike the 8700g.

Keyboard/trackball-

The Curve's full QWERTY keyboard is awesome, it has improved somewhat from the 8700g's. I can type a little faster on the Curve than the 8700. The trackball sometimes annoys me mainly because if something gets stuck under the trackball it jams and then it is unable to scroll a certain direction. A quick shot of air gets rid of this problem.

Battery Life-

The battery life on the Curve is excellent! I can charge it every other day, and thats very heavy texting. Internet sucks down alot of battery, but thats normal.

Camera-

The stunning 2 mega pixel camera with flash takes very good pictures, although sometimes they are a little under exposed. The The pictures are very easily sent via MMS or email, however email does take longer to send a picture. It does not have video, but that's why RIM is comming out with the new 4.5 fimware update soon and it will then be able to capture video.

Screen-

The screen like usual on all BlackBerry's with color screen is very crisp, clear, and adjusts brightness according to the light conditions you are in. I can easily see my screen and what I am doing on it.

Thats it for now.

Alien.

Great review Alienware, thanks very much for posting it. As you may have noticed I toyed with the idea of getting one & may still do, but at this time I am too much of "WM brat".

I am glad the device is as good as I had heard it was. I had a problem with the trackball but I put that down to my inexperience in using it.

Good luck with your new toy & have fun with it.
