Hey Ellen, Great review. Now that you have played with it for awhile, what is your assessment? I am a Verizonite coming up on EOC and am considering TMo or AT&T and unless something pops out of the weeds, I'm Curve-N all the way. I'm new out in Denver and not too sure about the TMo coverage here, but with free roaming it can't be to God awful....right? As well do you the @HOME or UMA at hotspots much Ellen??? That really has me intrigued. Thx ahead of time, Stoney |

I was able to connect to my router at home without any problems, but I never tried any out side HotSpots. I recommend that you try the Curve, and see how it works for you. What bothers someone else might not be an issue for you. Yes, you can roam off of T-Mobile, and on to another carriers network, but I would make sure that T-Mobile does have roaming partners in your area first.....If you really want the Curve, I know AT&T sells it as well. Maybe their coverage would work out better for you. | |

This is my third BB and despite what I say below I am satisfied with it. The only complaint I have about the 8320 is that it is essentially just a email device with a phone. The reason I stick with BB is because their OS is the only one to my knowledge that uses push email. The web browsing abilities are nothing special. The BB website says: "Play video and music files in vivid color and rich sound." However you can only view video saved on a SD card. You can't view streaming video from the net. To me this is a bit misleading. And the documentation that comes with the BB is a joke. A phone like the 8320 has so many options that the manual should be as thick as a phone book. And even when I call T-Mobile's BB support line, the operators were not able to answer very many of my questions. He even told me that he felt like BB or RIM was purposely withholding details about the BB's OS. While I do admit to being addicted to crackberrys, because of the lack of 3rd party software, along with the limited web browser, this will be the last time RIM gets any money from me |
