Now that at&t has released it, it seems that the rumor is that at&t has a 3 month exclusive on the curve and if that is true, then T mobile (USA) will not have it until September.

CONGRATULATIONS viewfly, what made you get the curve or any BB for that matter?

I will admit that I went down last week to look at the curve and really liked it. My place of work does not allow push E-Mail which defeats the main purpose of a BB in my opinion, so I was not too serious about it.

I would be very interested in your take on it, please post a review when you you get a chance.

Good luck & have fun playing with it.

Do they allow the pull email? If they do then you can go with the Personal Plan whcih would be good but not as close as BES. For me I have the BIS Personal which is pull then push. Another thing, it seems that RIM is working on adapting BIS to become as close as possible to the BES version and \i can say it is sort of getting there. They do plan on releasing BIS version 2.3 (now on 2.0 or 2.1) which will inlcude some major enhancments.

Unfortunately no. There is no way to get the E-Mail on any handheld device. It is possible to get it on our personal computers through "On The Run" an web based Outlook program, initially I could use this with my QTEK 9100, but then some of the security measures were upgraded and that option was no longer available.

BIS can fetch emails from a secure site and that is one of the reasons it beats other devices. I was going to pick up an 8300 but since I am away for over a month and if for any reason had issues or did not realy like the dvice, I opted to wait untill I return and then not llos any of my 30 day remorse preiod

Thanks Charlyee. It not really for me, but my college age princess. Being on the run, having push email from profs, etc is really useful. She is not at her PC as much as I am in the office. I was put off, at first, by the monthly prices, but times have changed and it really was not much more than the unlimited we had before. $29.99 unlimited BB personal plan internet push 10 email account plan and then a separate $9.99 1500 sms package. I thought she would never, never get a candy bar phone. But it is a hit.

We liked it better than the same priced Pearl. Better keyboard, lighter, fits the hand better and bigger screen.

Daughter claims better reception (rf) than Razr. 2Mp camera is great, and the LED flash is really nice. Browers is excellent and opens MS Office docs just fine. I'm a little jealous actually.

I have to admit with the monthly prices coming down, the BB is a good phone in a great package. Seems well engineered and robust.

For me, the thumball wheel is a bit sensitive, but she seems used to it. Battery life seems normal.

That is about all that I can say, without using it daily. The smartcases are nice. A magnetic cover sets the phone in locked mode and some other options. Clever.

I could consider getting one for myself someday, but I don't really need the push part of it.

Best.
