I've seen on the Blackberry site, that the new 8800 series (currently the Indigo on Cingular) has background noise cancellation built in. I'm guessing when T-Mobile's version comes out, it will have the same. So what about the Pearl? Is the same technology on it? Just wondering, for when I was testing the Dash & Pearl, I noticed even though the Dash had fantastic clarity, I could hear some background noise...and maybe even a little "hissing"...where I did not hear this as much on the Pearl. Your input? Let me know. Thanks! Chris

Never mind all! I sent an e-mail direct to the BlackBerry website, and one of their tech rep's responded. They advised the Pearl does have the same "Advanced Sound Technology" as they call it that is on the 8800 series. Apparently it filters out some of the background noise and minimizes the echo.
