I'm in the chicagoland suburbs, Plainfield to be exact. What is the best network to use a Blackberry on? T-Mobile is not an option as I don't get service in my home or my office. Thanks, kd |

Images: 4 | Cingular, bud, like I said in the other thread, Blackberry is good on GSM, and if you'll wait a little while longer, cingular will have the Pearl. If you just want a PDA style phone and don't have to have the blackberry name (ie. you can use Windows Mobile instead of RIM's Java based OS) Cingular just released the Blackjack by samsung, it's 3g compatible (second PDA Phone in the US to be so on GSM, first being the 8525.)

If you cannot get T-mo then cingular. Having had Cingular, and currently on T-mo I find there coverage to pretty much equal in my area. Avoid Sprint\Nextel, thier coverage sucks (please wait while the nextel subscriber is located, yeah right!!). And verizon does not offer phones with SIM cards that you can change and put in other phones, thats a biggie for me, as I like to change models pretty often.

Cingular is strong in the Windy City and surrounding areas. They have a regional HQ in Hoffman Estates and maintain a strong network in the region. They are also aggressive with their in-building coverage program in the market.
