It has features designed to be used with the Pearl like media manager, which of course will not work with older models. FYI first couple of times I tried to connect my 8700 the new software gave me errors but now appears to work fine. ??? Also, over at BB forums people are testing the handheld OS 4.2 so that might be available soon too???
