Default 8900 Caller ID Question

I have a friend with an Audiovox 8900 on CellularONE-Western Wireless. When I call him from my T-Mobile phone only my number shows up on his caller ID dispite the fact that my name and number are programmed into the phone book. Does anyone know what may be causing this? Is it a setting that's incorrect, or something? Has anyone else had this happen? What did you do to fix it?

Try 1-xxx-xxxx. Sometimes GSM will add that 1 in there, and could be screwing up his 8900. Does his flash 'C1' or whatever on his screen when a call comes in? Verizon 8900's constantly flash between Verizon Wireless and the time/date or even caller-ID!! It's annoying!

I think you can set the banner message yourself with CellularONE's firmware so it doesn't flip from "CellularONE" to "Time/Date" to "Caller ID," I believe it just stays on whatever you set it. Yes, I do remember the 1-XXX-XXX-XXXX showing up on the caller ID. I will tell him to try it with the 1 to see if that helps. Thanks, Arib330.
