Default Help with a CDM-8910

I have an Audiovox CDM-8910 and the screen isn't lighting up as brightly as it used to. The phone is a little over 2 years old. The brightness wouldn't be much of an issue if it weren't for the fact that if I'm outside and recieve a text, I cannot read it because of the dimness of the screen. I have taken it back to the U.S. Cellular dealer here in town. They said the only thing they could do was either send it back to have it fixed, or for me to upgrade to a new phone. Any help would be welcomed.

Thanks in advance

the best way for you to get a new phone with no contract is to go buy on on ebay and take it in to a store and activate it, cell phone providers dont really do repairs anymore, and that model phone is really old.

Thanks for the advice. I'm gonna be gettin a new phone soon. Just thought I'd see what I can do to make this one last a little longer.
