Well, I have had my Verizon CDM 8910 for about two years now. Two weeks ago it stopped playing sounds and I could no longer hear calls or talk. As I was fiddling with it, it randomly displayed "hands free mode on/off" in which it began playing sound again. However, it went back to hands free mode and I cannot return it to its normal state. Any help? Has my phone begun popping flowers?

More or less, your phone is pushing up daisies. Sometimes phones will go into car kit mode when there is something lodged in the headset port or the chargine port. You will want to inspect the openings on your phone and ensure that nothing is in them, clean out any dirt, dust, debris, etc.

Also, you may want to check your water damage indicator, as permanent car kit mode can sometimes be the result of water damage.
