| My battery cover moves around alot. It happens with the one that came with the phone and the extended battery cover too. Helpmeplease wrote on Feb. 17 that his cover was moving around and that you guys told him that it was a problem with the hardware. He took it back and that solved the problem. My question is, were you guys talking about the battery cover or the outside lid were the sub-display is? I will take it back if it is a problem. Thanks Joe Helpmeplease wrote - " Does the cover of your CDM9500 move around when closed? Mine moves about 1/4 of a centemeter in either direction and makes a annoying noise. Is this normal?" |

I'm pretty sure what he was talking about was the flip hinge moving around about a quarter inch from side to side. Although I thought this was a pretty good exaggeration of the movement, I can't see the battery cover moving around that much either. Yes, the battery covers are not perfect fits and they tend to more around a bit. I've had 3 9500's since the beginning of January (I was one of the unlucky customers who loves the phone, but got stuck with some glitches and needed to swap out). All of my battery covers moved around a bit (by a bit, I mean very little and still remaining securely clipped on). I think this is a problem with all of them, not just a few. I was thinking about getting a little bit of really thin insulation foam-like material that they sell in hardware stores with adhesive on one side and just placing a little on the outside surface of the battery... that way, when the cover is placed on, there's a cushioning substance that would probably stop the movement and noise. I don't have access to any of this stuff for the time being, but if you happen to like my idea and try it out, let me know how it works =) - Fred

Sorry for the inch/centimeter confusion, but from the old posts and how myself and other owners came to understand his complaint, he was talking about the actual hinge and the flip part of the phone moving from side to side.
