My new phone has two pixels that are always bright green. This is most noticeable when the Verizon banner appears on startup of the phone. One of them is almost always noticeable though as it is in the middle of the LCD. How common is this? I know it is not uncommon for one or two such pixels to be on a laptop computer LCD, but since the displays on these phones are smaller, should they be "better"? If I went to a store and showed them the problem would they think me a freak for caring about such a minor thing or would they swap out my phone? The first 9500 I had did not have this issue. Also, if you think they would swap out the phone do I have to take everything back or just the phone?

Personally, I would go and try to make the swap because I would probably get more and more annoyed as I keep noticing the off-color pixels. But that's just me and my ____-retentiveness. If you do go and swap, I think it's best to take everything back. I had an easier time when I did this than when I would just take the phone in. They were a little hesitant to keep the parts that I already had and just give me a new phone unit. Make your life easy in the store, take it all back. - Fred PS - my first belt clip held the phone a little loosely, and when I swapped everything out, the new one held on a lot more securely with a louder and stronger "click," and the battery cover wasn't as jiggly either. Just another reason to take everything in. You might benefit from a better part or something.

Well, went down to the store and they swapped it out on the spot. No more LCD problems. This phone has the Verizon logo on it where my other phone said "CDMA2000" but other than that everything appears the same so far. FINALLY a pleasant experience with VZW customer service!!!

AnthroMatt... well, first off, welcome back to the 9500. Since I bought one a little over a month ago, I've had 3 of them. The first one had speaker static problems. The second had the well-known voice-dialing error glitch, and my third is finally everything that I expect and enjoy from this phone. Through it all, the only unpleasant experience I had with verizon was waiting almost an hour the second time I swapped out because I just happened to go to the store during a busy hour. Glad to hear everything is working out well. - Fred
