I was hoping you would tell us, after all you're the "Verizon know it all"... The v710 has been recalled because of the camera issue, if you read through the Motorola forum you'll find plenty of info on that, the Audi 9900 was sold out after about a week of it's released though it was still showing on Verizon's web site as out of stock at the price that it was selling for it's no wonder...

From what I was told by a verizon rep who usually is pretty good with info, is that the 9900 was released to early and the 8910 should have been the only one released at the time (the 9900 and 8910 were both released on the same day). That is why the only commercials you have seen were for the 8910. The 710 is a camera issue and will be rereleased when fixed. As for the LG6100, in some markets they still have plenty of 6000's left and VZW is going to try to move them before the 6100 are put out. Hope this answers some questions and remember this is only based on a rep...

I walked into the Resotn, VA Verizon store on Tuesday, and ordered two 9900s, which were delivered the next day. The store was out of them, but the were happy to order them. Got one free under the "new every two" and paid $69.99 for the other (after rebates). Love the phone! |

Does Verizon plan on bringing the 9900 back? I am eligable(family plan) for early upgrade on 11/23 and the 9900 is the only phone that seems to fit my needs and price. A Verizon salesperson said he expects the 9900 to be available by the end of this month...I was skeptical of his answer. Anyone know?

The V710 is still on their site for Southern California. I read somewhere that you may still be able to order a 9900 from a Verizon store. Might be worth a shot.

I called CS tonight to order one since my upgrade date is crazy and I have to do it through them... they said they are out of it, and it is unlikely they will get it again. The rep told me the phone had been moved to their discontinued list... I found that a little odd considering how fast it sold and how much it seems everyone is liking this phone.... who knows.... but i do know i want one, so i'm desperately searching all the stores in the area!! |

Does this have anything to do with Audiovox selling its wireless division. I understand they bought out Toshiba's interest to complete the sale. Toshiba made the 9xxxx series.

not too many phones from Verizon can say that right now. Also doing video clips is another thing that most people like and want. Overall I think Verizon is making a big mistake by dropping this phone. The only problems I hear the most batter can fall out esay and the phone is not as durable as most Verizon phones meaning if you drop it the case with break apart faster than most phones Verizon offers.
