Angry 9900 Upload pics using Cable?!

Listen to this! I recently bought a 9900 (Verizon Wireless) because it is a sweet phone and way better than anything Altell has to offer now. I switched the phone from Verizon to Alltel and had the tech switch my ESN and MIN so it worked, he said he did not know how to program it though. I said Ill take care of that . Then when while I was searching through the settings I noticed under NAM Programming (Power On, Press 289 [menu] #1), General Settings, that the MMS/EMS/SMS Settings were locked with a security code. Hmmm, no security code worked I searched high and low (000000,123456,654321,111111,etc) No luck. I called Verizon which said since you have Alltel you need to call them. I called Alltel which said we don't support that phone call the manufacter, they said call Verizon! I tryed explaining what I did and It seemed I knew more than any tech support guy for Alltel, Verizon or Audiovox. Then while looking for a data cable I asked a support guy why the picture loading software he had for the 9900 was labled (not Verizon) but but yes to any other carrier?? Then it all came together....
Verizon LOCKED the phone to keep people from up/downloading ringtones and pics from their computers. They want you to use Get it Now and there text message services to do the transfers!!! So they purposfully locked the MMS/EMS/SMS Settings out and made only a select few knowledgable about the security code to unlock this. If your thinking its a MSL or SPC code... Well I tried an SPC code generated by a Verizon Wireless tech and it did not work... Maybe the MSL, which i still haven't found for the phone yet. Makes ya sick doesnt it.... knowing they LOCK you out of your OWN Phone. Well I am going to be doing some "altering" and i will figure how to unlock this.. Stay tuned!! information should be FREE!
