Hi, I just posted my question in HoFo but I will ask here again. How does the RF and call clarity compare with existing phones like the 6K, 7K, A670 etc. Where is the phone manufactured? Thanks much |

That's a fantastic price for full retail! If I had Verizon I'd jump all over that offer. |

So far so good..It's mostly made in Japan, a nice change of pace compared to LGs and Samsungs which are mostly made of parts from Korea or China.

I got it too. The phone feels lighter than I thought and it sounds so much clearer than even my v400. The color screen is very nice too. I like the way it feels in my hand coming from smaller phones and it feels more natural to my face. I still like the speakerphone better on my v400. You can't beat the two year activation price of only $ 49.99. Good job VZW. This outta be a hot seller once everyone gets word of this price.

Me neither. I do know how to access the manual programming menu though: 1. Power Off 2. Power On 3. Within 10 seconds: [2][8][9][MENU][#][1] To exit manual programming press [SEND] to reboot the phone. It is exactly like AVX-9500 except instead of [F>] key need to press [MENU].

They list one in their accessory section for the 9900. I just bought a Bodyglove pouch. I don't like using phones with all that plastic covering everything | |

My phonescoop review 5/5 I bought this phone for full retail (NE2 come 10/05 still intact.) Cons: -No Ring AND/THEN vibrate. -Speaker phone cannot be used while the phone is closed. -Battery , coming form phones were the battery pops out when the phones is not an issue for me. -Size, I am still getting used to it coming from 2 smaller flip phones. Minor issue, I give it a week before I am adjusted. -No bluetooth (non issue for me) Pro's: let me get the obvious ones out of the way. -PRICE dollar for dollar this phone is #1. It SHOUL be priced more comprably to the 7000 or the v710 which are the only phones in its league. -SCREEN this phone IS the standard by which all others are humbled. Moving on -RF This phone holds signal very well. -Sound quality (Incoming) very good. -Soundquality outgoing is even better. -speaker phone, It has one I can use on a noisy NYC street corner. -volume, I can hear it ring and hear the person on the other end just fine on a loud NYC street corner. -Keypad is raised, ruberized, textured, and can light up enough for night use. -Travel Charger is deigned for tight spaces. -WAP 2.0 ROCKS!!!!!! and is fast enough for normal use. -Build quality is much better than my 8900, but i have the leather case now to protect its resale value. -Flashlight actually kinda works. -Menu's are cute and very customizable. -the ability to customize the inner and outer LCD's is VERY nice. No assistance rocks! (when you get the phone you will see what I mean.) -The ability to customize how long the backlights (BRIGHT) for the two screens and the buttons shows an attention to detail that I really like. Unknowns Battery life I haven't been able to stop playing with it so I honestly don't know. However, if you are a mobile web junkie GET THE EXTENDED BATTERY!!! The use of mobile web with the powerful on this thing SUCKS battery fast. Honestly, at the current prices, it is a 5 and the BEST verizon phone you can get if you don't need bluetooth. |

Got the phone today and it seems great for the price. 2 things: 1) There is no banner 2) The keypad on the right side (end call and such) seems kinda of dim. Checked a couple of phones and all are like this. Minor issues, but so far so good

Dru, the speaker sounds like it's a bit better from all previous Audis, my 9500 had the speakerphone but was useless in a noisy enviroment, i'm interested to know how RF differs on this one vs your 8900, Audiovox phones always seem to have good RF, specially the Toshiba manufacture ones....

Dru, though RF is not well measured by signal bars, have you noticed a difference in signal bar strength? someone posted pictures on Hofo and i noticed that the signal bars on the 9900 are lower than the LG 7K's... Pictures
