i took mine bvack. i didnt like the interface, the modes, the lack of ring/vibrate, the slow buttons (try typing, it doesnt follow you, you miss letters and numbers), all that good stuff.

The slow typing was an issue with the Sprint version too.

Would you, or anyone, be kind enough to let us ignorant ones know what can be done in that mode?

Also, is ring/vibrate a software/firmware (programmable) issue, or is it burned into the hardware? Can it be changed by anyone after manufacture?

well i just got the phone used the NE2 so i got it free. Great upgrade from the A310... I CAN GET Ring tones finally! I havnt played with it enough yet, just started putting my numbers from my A310 into this phone. Besides get it now is there any other ways to get Ring tones.

Speaker is better, screen is better, camera is better, contorl in general is better, keypad is better, etc...

i was comparing it with the 8910 and the speaker sounds just as low on both to me...

There is no separate speaker for the speaker phone on the 8910. The sound comes out of the earpiece and is just made louder.

On the 9900 there is a separate speaker. The sound comes from the back of the phone. The volume and sound on the 9900 while not the greatest is much better than the 8910. I find it quite usable even in a car.

Actually i meant the 8900, i wrote the wrong model number, and the 9900 stills sounds the same as the 8900 and the 9500 to me...

called customer care and there outta of it too, said they would call me back when it came in ..tday is the last day for the low phone price( 49.99 2 year agreement or 99.99 on 1 year)....think the full retail will still be 149.99? i have a v710 but want this phone for a back up phone..wonder if they will give me a rain check?
