Has anyone gotten the Verizon CDM8900 connected to a Windows 2000 machine so you could use the phone as a modem or use BitPim? I grabbed the data cable from RadioShack (FutureDial w/box-in-the-middle [serial converter]). I have the FutureDial drivers, and the Curitel drivers. Now rumors had it that you needed to tell the computer that the phone was a VX6000 and not the 8900. Is that true? Trust me, I was up till 1am last night searching every major forum and I would still be searching if it was not for my wife yelling at me to goto bed. HELP! |
