Apparently the Audiovox CDM-9900 is set to be shipped to stores next week. I'm not sure the exact release date but it should be VERY soon. |

About freaking time huh? Sprint's had the darn thing for like a year. It's a very nice phone, but very ugly IMO. I'd like to have something that isn't quite so ugly, but has a lot of features too. The RF should be good if the Sprint version is any indicator.

Another thing about that phone besides being kinda ugly, is the fact that it's a HUGE phone. I held one once and it couldn't get over how big it was... and kinda plasticky.

It seemed bigger to me when I was trying it out.. in all aspects. But oh well... still ugly lol.

Well...the Audivox CDM-9900 didn't make it out on September 7th. Here in the Salt Lake City area, one Verizon store employee told me for sure September 30th. I was just in another Verizon store today and got a brochure for the '9900 but was told they didn't know of an exact release date. It's NE2 time - hope the '9900 comes out soon |

Between the sprint version being very good and the 8900 being very good it should be a good phone. We hope. Details?

According VZW's news site posted at HoFo, the price of this phone will be $49.99 for a 2 year contract. That is incredibly low for a phone with video message capability and much more. Hopefully this is not a typo. http://news.vzw.com/ |

That is a very good price. I wonder if the fact Sprint's version of the phone has been out for almost 10 months now factors into that. Verizon also started selling the Samsung A610 much later than Sprint got the a600, and Verizon sold the a610 for much less than Sprint was charging for the a600.

I had the Sprint version...very nice phone. Only real complaint was that the earpiece volume, even on the highest setting, was a bit too low for my liking.
