Anyone here who used/have the 8600, like it or is anyone a fan of it? I like the size and the price is quite nice if its going to be around in July.

hmm i cant even remember all the problems I have had .. if you search the audiovox forum you will see some threads where I described my problems ... one or 2 had reception problems, one the 7key didnt work, another restarted itself (which i think my 4500 does sometimes too, but the 4500 you can turn the sound off when it turns on while ont he 8600 it plays a nice little song when it turns on (which is a BIG problem when in the middle of class) ... there were more problems that i cant recall at the moment. other things that i didnt like about the phone: speakerphones not very good, phone book search feature is awful (doesnt do it alphabetically) if u r thinkin about this or the 4500 i highly reccomend the 4500 over this |

Not a bad phone if your just looking for good rf, good call quality, decent battery life and size. Other than that there is nothing special about the phone. The ringers are kind of low (volume) and the phone book is the worst I have ever seen. But comparing it to the V120e and T720, the call quality and ability to hold on to calls is very good. Other than that, I would rate it fair, but for what I need it for, it is just right for me. The 4 things I am most concerned about are: RF and no dropped calls, battery life, call/sound quality and size. These were 4 very strong points (imho) of this phone. Also, I HATE audiovox products, but this is built by Hyundai. |
