Default 8900 Basic Questions from a Newbie hehe

Hi everyone! ^_^ I just recently bout the CDM8900 and so far i really leik what i see. Im not too great with cellphones, in fact this is my first ever and i even managed to read (well..scroll thru) the user manual I have a metroPCS account, it was released not too long ago for Metro so its fairly new. I was just wondering if anyone could help me thru some small things that I cant get to >< like..

*Screen*
--- Okay on teh display screen theres a small box with teh date and time.. is there anyways of getting rid of that? It really blocks out most of teh background on teh phone, its bot really necisarry for me since I can just look at teh exterior lcd screen...

*Backgrounds*
--- How exactly do u get newer backgrounds for the phone? are there sites that you can download them from? Mines only came with liek 2 standard backgrounds so its not much choices, i could always use teh camera but id rather have some really good quality ones...

Thats all I need right now, the phone is pretty self explanatory other than teh confusing up down left right buttons ><! thanx again everyone for all your help ^_^

Default 8900 Basic Questions from a Newbie hehe

Hey, I am not sure exactly how it works on this phone but I am guessing its somewhat like what I had on my 8600. I believe if you go to settings, display. there will be an option for Main LCD or clock or something. there it should give you a few different options of clocks. probably one digital that takes up teh whole screen, one digital which sits nicely at the bottom of the screen and one analog. (like i said i am just speaking on experience with cell phones i am not sure about the 8900)

As for backgrounds, I believe if you look at this thread It should give you some idea of how you can get other backgrounds on the 8900. (I know in the tread its about the 4500 and what Tony describes doesnt work for that particular phone, but since you have a camera phone it SHOULD work for ur phone)

Hope it helps, and Welcome to WA
