8600 Voice Dial Malfunction

Hi folks...
I have my phone set to go directly to voice recognition when I flip it open. Normally, I just say the correct keyword and it dials properly. In the past few days, it does not dial and actually "kicks me out" of voice recognition mode.

Any suggestions for troubleshooting? Thanks.

i used to have a problem where at times it woud just cancel me out of voice dialing for no aparent reason. I actually havent been using voice dial much lately (ie. since i have gotten this replacement phone) but i know i did have that problem sometimes with my last 8600.

Well, first you will probably want to stop speaking with an accent like Tattoo from Fantasy Island when you try to use VAD... actually I'm just kidding. Have any of the people you talk to on a regular basis noticed a difference in the way you sound when they are talking to you? (Meaning that there may be a problem with the microphone.) You may want to try re-doing the VAD entries and re-registering your voice on the handset. If these don't work you may see what other people suggest then take it to your carrier's nearest sales office and see if they will send it in for warranty repairs.
