I'm currently shopping for a phone that I will be using in the Seattle area on Verizon service, but I'm a little torn between these two choices. I'm mostly looking for advice from people who have used or tested both, since each phone seems to have ample supporters. I am generally the type of person who likes having as many fun and cool features as he can get his hands on. While the a670 has much more appeal to me in the style department, I am a little worried that I would be missing out on some enhanced features with the 8900. Would that be the case? Also, if I really want cool features, would the Motorola v710 be worth it for the extra price (it is coming to vzw stores in a few days right?) As sort of an "extra credit" question, would another service provider be better suited for the Seattle area? I hear Verizon is above the competition there, but I'm not positive and unfortunately I won't be able to test there until I move out in a few months, while pretty much need the cell phone now. Thanks in advance for any help you can offer, any response is welcome. |

In response to your question about the best provider, if you have no other input, go with Verizon. If it were me, I would either try to wait until I moved or get a prepaid (cheap cell) for a few months. You will have your new providrer for at least a year. Consider the cost of the prepaid as insurance (it is money well spent)

What features are you afraid you wont get with the A670. I can't speak for the 8900, but I have the A670 and love it. It remains as one of the best rated phones by USERS. Samsungs call clarity is 2nd to none. As for the V710, I returned mine for the A670. Too many features I couldn't live with. And very big. |

My friend has the 8900 and i have the a670. I've played around on her phone and it's nice. I prefer the all-digital clarity of the a670. It's also a little smaller that the 8900 and lighter... She likes the 8900 and originally had a LG and hated it...returned it within her 15 day trial period...I've had the a670 for about 2 months and like it a lot. |
