Well Verizon has the "lemon policy" if after 5 or 6 times they exchanged your phone because of S/W problems, Mfg defects, etc, they should allow you to switch to a different phone, might want to bring that to their attention.

i asked about a specific lemon policy in the northeast forum, and people said there wasnt any real policy about it. I am definately going to see what I can do; I mean this is the third phone that has problems, its getting a little rediculous. I called customer service and they said that there wasnt really anything they could do for me; I had to go to a store. So I will try and do that at somepoint this week, ill let ya know how it goes.

true, it's more of a persay policy, it's usually at the discretion of the store manager if he wants to let you switch to a different phone.

I had a CS rep tell me that after 3 or 4 returns they generally replace or let you early upgrade to a different phone. She even called my local store and spoke to the manager for me. I was in shock but i'm glad she helped out.

Out of curiosity what kind of problems are you having with the 8600 i have no had any major problems with it but would liek to hear what your story is if you don;t mind

Well Ill just tell you the problems I have had with this current phone. 1) my number 7 doesnt press all the time. if you hit it directly in teh center with a lot of force its fine, but I dont usually do that, especially not while text messageing or dialing by touch. 2) the phone turns itself off and on every once in a while (just happened twice so far) and this is a bigger problem since i cant turn that stupid song off so I am sitting in class and it starts playing the 'im turning on now' music. 3) every once in a while I plug it in and it says 'please check charger' or it doesnt start charging.

none of these are major major problems but they are all very big annoyances....
