Default 8600 vs. 8900

I just bought the 8600, not happy with the ringer volume or ear phone volume. Also, cant see whose calling on the outside caller ID screen; lights up and goes out too quickly. Really dont need a camera, will the 8900 solve any of these problems? Any insight is greatly appreciated...and for those of you who have answered my other questions-thanx so much.

Default 8600 vs. 8900

I returned myf 8600s and got an 8900 just because of the ringer issue. I liked the 8600 package but the ringer volume wasn't enough. The 8900 ringer is more than loud enough as is the headset volume (with a standard Jabra earpiece). You might find that the headset jack is in an unusual place, on the top, next to the antenna. This isn't too bad but isn't quite as convenient as having the socket on the side of the phone and it does take a little getting used to.

The outside screen on the 8900 is a little better than that on the 8600 but not much (certainly not as good as the LX4400) but I'm happy with my 8900 overall.
