8600 Voice Dialing

The horrible manual gives no steps to actually do the voice dialing. I've tried presisng the send button and it does nothing. Is there any other thing I need to activate (besides active flip) to get the voice dial to work?

it's funny that you ask that, as i just added my girlfriend to the voice dial like 2 min ago, lol.... here are the steps i took

1. push ... in upper left hand corner
2. push 9
3. push 4
4. push 2
5. find the name/number of the person you are putting the voice command to
6. (pushing ok to get the "enter voice tag" prompt
7. push ok
8. "please be ready to speak name" should appear
9. it will ask you to speak name, speak it, it will ask you one more time, speak it again(try not to sound TOO different from first speaking)
10. it will add it to your list automatically


now to USE it... push and hold the send button until prompted to speak a name

to actually use it you just need to hold down the send button. but I found that maybe once out of 5 times i did this it would exit me out of the voice recognition for no aparrent reason.
