Someone pointed out on another thread I read how to do it ...TEMPORARILY... I say that because if you turn your phone off, or just wait for the network to reset itself, it will go back to the blinking banner... Here's how to do it temporarily.... Press Menu Go to Settings then press ok Arrow down to System then press ok Press the number "3" for Nam Setting Press "1" for Auto Nam Highlight "yes." Then press the end key... The first time I did it, it stayed like that for about three days. Then one day at work while my phone was on my desk I saw it reset itself. I went back to the menu options and re-did the above. But a few days later, it reset itself again. I called Cust. Ser. with VZW and the technicians couldn't tell me why. I called back hoping to talk to somone else and they told me the same thing. I thought it displayed VZW to tell me that I was on their network ever since I changed to the America's Choice plan. But all six of my lines have the blinking banner now and we all have different phones. It started about three months ago when I updated all six PRL's... Sorry I couldn't be more help. If I can find a permanent solution or reason why I'll post it later on....Good luck..

just like your daddy pointed out there is no permanent solution. The third way (and way that my phone kept going back to the Verizon Wireless) is if you lose service completely. When you regain service again your phone will once again display the verizon wireless. This is frustrating and I wish I could tell you that Verizon will probably update the software soon and will get rid of it, but it just doenst look like that is going to be the case.
