Default Audiovox 8600 sub lcd

Hey,

I have a question about my phone. When someone is calling my cellphone the sub lcd will glow for around 5 seconds then it will shut off and not come back on while the call is incoming. I was woundering if there is a way for this to stay on so you are able to see who is calling at night without having to take off active flip.

Thanks

yes; what you need to do is go to menu -- settings -- display -- LCD setting -- backlighting -- and then change it from 5 seconds to 10 or 20 seconds. (a quick way to get through the menus is to hit: menu 6-2-3-1 and then select the amount of time you want the backlight on)

Hmm, I thoink the 8900's just stays on when you have an incoming call but i am not sure. I am going to have to test that theory out.

I am actually glad you posted this question because I was always annoyed about the backlight giong off but never tried to do anything about it! I always used to hold the volume down key (one of the side buttons) to make the backlight go back on so i could see who was calling. But since you asked the question I looked into it and now my backlight stays on long enough that I can see who is calling me
