As the title suggests, can anyone confirm if the 8900 sub display "blinks" the verizon wireless message like the 8600 does? It drives me nuts when I try to check my incoming caller ID.

just thought I would mention if you read the other threads on the 8900 you would find the answer to this question. please try reading the forums before posting questions. While we are all definately here to help people out, its easier to just answer a question once rather than 20000 times.

thank you Orioles, didn't want to be rude but i agree, that's why i tried to keep all 8900 questions on one thread so we don't have to be going back n forth.

Thanks for the tip - and I certainly understand what you are saying. I did read the other threads - and did see one person answer this question. I also noted that the answer was that it doesn't "stay on as long" as on the 8600. I find that a little hard to believe, as it would seem that the programming would be the same. Or maybe not. I also THOUGHT I read a post that said their 8900 didn't blink, but couldn't find that when I went back to look for it. Maybe that was a different Vox phone. I guess I was just looking for other opinions, and that is why I posted my question seperately from the other thread. Sorry if my posting was a problem, |

Poor NYCdru...he must've gone underground after this phone debacle....Don't worry DRU...it's okay to be impressed with a phone initially only to find out later that it is a turd with an antennae. How many of us did not own a T720 at one time or another???

Mine does not display the VERIZON WIRELESS BANNER on the outer LCD. The phones in the store did, but when I got mine, it did not. Apparently, it's a regional thing. I'm in Southern California, PRL 50111. So far the 8900 seems to be great phone....Will post a big review after I have had a chance to take pictures, drain the battery, make phone calls in places where my 4400 would drop. Feel free to ask questions about the phone, and I will try to answer. Merry Xmas! |
