8600 outside caller id?

Does the 8600 display caller id info on the outer lcd display?

I see. I was playing around with the one at the store and it didn't display anything when I called it. Only the time was shown. Is there something that has to be set to make it display the caller id info?

Also, is there an easy way to toggle the phone between ring and vibrate?

the caller ID should automatically show up on the outer LCD screen. It might not have in the store because I have found the phones there dont close completely and therefore it might have messed with the settings and not displayed the caller ID on the outer screen.

as for switching between vibrate and ring all you do is hold down the * and it puts it in and out of etiquette mode which turns off all sounds and just lets the phone vibrate.

if you need a phone that does the basics...and does them decently....then this is a fine phone. I dont like it because it has a few to many quirks and is not very customizable...thats the short review i fhave for this phone. If you read through some of the other threads you will see my more extensive reviews....

This phone has all the fetures of any comparable phone out there now for verizon. And its as customizable as any verizon phone of similar nature. can;t load your own ringtones or pictures with get it now so in a sense no verizon phone is truely customizable
