Anyone know what the website address is for the CDM9500 devotees? I remember running across it before but now I can't remember how to get to it now that I have the phone...kind of want to know how to get rid of the "verizon" at the top of the screen and such. Thanks.

The site you were looking for CDMAngels is down at this time. But here is the Banner remover.

Ok this removes "Verizon Wireless" from the top of your idle screen and changes it to whatever you want...

1. Press Right on directional arrow (F 581)

2. Goto systems #5

3. Goto NAM #8

4. Select #1 nam name tag

5. Select and change it to what you want

6. Reboot phone

7. Go into programming mode (289 F 1)

8. nam 1 setting yes

9. Arrow down 6 times to ERI setting click yes

10. Press 0 (zero)

11. Press Green dial button to save

Your phone will boot up and say SEARCHING......then switch to whatever you named it NOT VERIZON WIRELESS!!!

Can't seem to enter programming mode, I'm hitting 289 in the first 10 seconds but it just boots up like normal.

When you see 289 F 1 the f is the right button on the 4 way directional selector which has a small f. I am not sure if that is the common mistake that you are making.

Yeah I knew it was supposed to be the directional key for F but it still doesn't work...? There's a bluish screen then a red Verizon screen then it's my regular wallpaper. Auno...man I hate being a phone n00b haha

Figured it out from the remnants of the old Yahoo groups spot for our phone.

The sequence is 289 F # 1

Start punching this in when you phone finishes booting up (i.e., when you see your wallpaper, not the start up animation)
