Has anyone heard anything about the release of this phone? Phonescoop orginally had it being released in June 03, then changed it to 2nd half of 03. I just checked & it nows shows July 03. If the features on Phonescoop are correct, it will be only slightly bigger than the A530, but be trimode, have speakerphone capability, and voice dialing w/ voice digit dialing!! Overall, it would seem to have some very cool features in a pretty small package!

Zigdog - I have been asking about this phone for months now. It seems that no one has any idea about the release of this phone. It looks like we will just have to wait for Verizon to release it to know the release date. I agree that this phone looks awesome, though others have warned me that it might not get as good of reception as other Verizon phones since this particular model has been made by Hyundai. Also, even though this phone looks great I am someone who wants the PTT capabilities, and it appears that this phone will notbe PTT compatable. Its too bad, I wish this phone had been released months ago as phonescoops original information had said it would be.

The phone looks great just hate the outside, that ring around the 2nd screen is ugly

Just thought i would point out for the first time i see the 8600 on the audiovox website...so i expect we will see it pretty soon! here is the link:http://www.audiovox.com/webapp/wcs/s...2370&langId=-1. I am really excited about it, I just have to decide how important PTT capabilities will be for me.

I just saw the phone at Best Buy for Virgin Cellular. It's about the same size as the A530 but it seems to be rather thick for such a small phone. The screen on it is smaller than on the a530, and the buttons look like they would be hard to press accurately if you have average size hands. I also agree that it looks kind of ugly with that circular accent around the outside screen. I think Audiovox has a stipulation in their contracts with their phone providers that all Audiovox phones must be ugly.
