Default Signal booster?

I've seen some internal signal boosters for sale on eBay -- does anyone know if using such a thing in an analog area would help get a stronger signal?
Thanks again for great help on this board.

Default Signal booster?

Nope, these things don't work...in fact many people report a worse signal after using one. I highy recommend you don't use them.

Default Signal booster?

These things are a waste of your time and money - they do nothing to improve cellphone performance.

Best thing you can do is extend your phones' antenna, try to move around a few feet to catch a better signal or in my case - spend a bit more (about $60) for a dual band magnetic mount antenna and adapter for your phone for when you are really far away from a cell tower.

For the most part, my Audiovox CDM-9155 does a great job in most areas. In some places I have to fully extend the antenna to talk. For the really out of the way places in Utah I have to resort to the external antenna.
