Black Screen on my audiovox

I have an audiovox 8900 that currently has a black screen. The phone fell onto the floor and has been the same since then. I have been to telus mobility and they have told me that to fix it, it would up to $250. If anyone knows how to fix this please let me know otherwise i have no other options but to buy a new phone or pay $250 to fix this one.

Sorry - I can't help you with your problem. I would suggest posting your query on a different forum. As you can see from the prior 4 strings, there are very few people who post any significant replies in the Audiovox/UTS forum...and that's if you are lucky! Usually there are no replies. Try calling audiovox customer service - perhaps they can help. For $250 you could almost get a new phone.

As an aside, you will get plenty of replies if you make posts such as: "which is the best phone for ________" or "which carrier has the best service in _______".

Hey Mac,
I do not know how "handy" you are, but i had been messing around with mine for a little bit and just today i drop my cell and the screen went blank as well... in the past days i been trying to swap the "insides" of my cell to another one cause the flip side of mine is sort of loose which was causing that the screen wouldnt light up, anyway i found out that the screen attachs to the touch pad thru a "clip on" type of wire and thats it; so maybe yours (and mine) got loose when you drop it, so i sugesst you: go to walt mart and buy small screwdrivers ( stanley makes them) and open your cell, now be carefull when u pop it open cause the clips that holds it together are kind of hard to pop them and u need to pry them with the screwdriver and make u do not pock anything inside with it. also the screwdriver u going to used its the smallest flat head that kit has, and the screws are hiding behing the tiny rubber pcs on the back of the cell, so carefully remove them all. hopethis helps amnd please let me know.
Also ebay its a great place to find a cheap phone and same quality
