Question Att Family Data question

I recently took myself and my wife off blackberrys.. I was paying a extra $90.00 per month with the data and txt plans 30x2 for data and 30x1 family txt unlimited. we just changed to "smart phones" like the LG Vu & Samsung Eternity. data is only 10.00 per line and the txt is still 30 if i change to 5.00 text then the data is 15.00 ATT have people by thye balls if you ask me.. Whatever happen to the 15.00 datd plans for PDA/ Smartphone like for WM or Palm (No Blackberry) My QUESTION is Is I pull my SIM from my LG Vu will it work in a (Palm Centro , 755p or any WM device) and still get web access.. I do know that txt will still work and voice will work.. What phones can i get away with ?

As far as Windows Mobile goes, the $15 data plan came with a cap of 3MB or 5MB. You can currently get a Media Net Unlimited plan for a non-smartphone/PDA for $15. I currently have the best deal around for data. I'm grandfathered in on the old Smartphone Connect Unlimited plan for $19.99/Mo. Currently your only option for unlimited data on a smartphone is the $29.99 data plan. You can sometimes get away with changing the IMEI# on the account to a standard phone, then put the $15 data package on, and then move the SIM card to the smartphone, but they have been catching some people doing that and changing their data plan.

As long as you're using an AT&T smartphone they'll catch it and slap the $30 plan on. If you use an unbranded smartphone such as SE xPeria, or Palm Treo Pro they're unlikely to notice, and you won't be breaking any rules as their T&C says that the PDA plan is only required for "designated" phones, which are limited to the AT&T phone selection.
