Default Starting a new AT&T contract with bad credit?

We have a bankruptcy on our credit, it is over, but obviously it is there. When we signed up with Alltel two years ago and we had to pay a deposit to start the contract. Our contract is ending and we are not happy about being sold to Verizon so we want to switch to AT&T. We are planning on having 1 iphone, two plain phones with no data, and unlimited texting for the entire family. We have compared the plans and the monthly payment would be exactly the same as what we are paying at Verizon.

My question is about how much of an up front deposit do you think we will have to pay, or if we will need to pay one?

att is known for being the most strict when it comes to credit standards. Recently a friend of mine with really bad credit got a phone with them and it was around $200.

It all depends on how long ago the bankruptcy was and how your credit has been build up since then. The only one that can tell you is at&t.
