NORTHEAST U.S. -- Migrating Family Plan to Individual Plans

I'm currently on a Family plan with another character. I'm in the process of getting approval from my company for an iPhone. Due to company policy, they'll only reimburse my monthly charges if I'm on an individual plan. Prior to this, I was already planning on porting to AT&T, since my company gets a discount. My question is how do I go about porting my wife's and my numbers and splitting to two individual plans. Can this be done directly or do I have to do the following:

1. Sign up for an AT&T Family plan and port our numbers. I order myself an iPhone and whatever phones my wife wants.

2. Have the family plan split to two individual accounts, both under my name.


My current contract is up in less than a month, so ETFs are not a concern.

You can do this either way, having them on the same account (ban number) with two individual plans-this way you will receive one bill having a total amount due as a total of both lines (showing in the body of the bill what the total is for each then totaled together for a pay this amount). Or you can have two separate bans set up in your name, one for your wife and one for you. receiving two bills for two amounts. Either way can be set up when you port the numbers over, just be sure to tell them the way you want it.
