Unlocked Krazr K1 can't find browser..Help Please

I have an unlocked T-mobile Krazr K1 that I am using with my current AT&T sim card, and everything is working fine except for the browser. I have set up a new profile under web access for Media Net according to all the information on the AT&T site, but it still won't access Media Net. Any idea's on what I'm doing wrong. Thanks!

Did you set the MediaNet websession profile as the default?

Thanks for the quick reply.....I have attempted to do that, but must not be doing it correctly

Any hints to figure it out would be greatly appreciated, like the new phone, but would love to have net access on it....Thanks!

Follow the instructions at this link:

You have to create a new connection with the correct settings. You cannot edit the existing settings. If you are not permitted to create a new session, then the phone has to be reflashed to remove the T-Mobile firmware.

That is the same thing that I had already attempted, so re reentered a new session, to make sure that I did it correctly. But the option of making Media Net the default browser does not come up. The T-mobile browser has the lock image next to it, and there is no option to change it that I am finding.

How do you go about reflashing the firmware, to remove the T-mobile browser? Thanks again for the help.

You are confusing the browser with the web session. The web session has to connect to MEdia Net. The browser is whatever was installed on the phone. Pressing the button to start the browser will try to connect to the T-Mobile homepage. You have to create URLs to connect to the MEdia Net specific websites.

You should check the Motorola forums for flashing help.

This is a common problem with T-Mobile branded devices. There are two ways that I have found that worked on my Motorola V300:

• As long as the phone still has the T-Mobile branding, I was able to modify the existing t-zones websessions profile to work with AT&T network settings via P2KTools.exe. It will still say t-zones in the menus and the websessions profile.
• The second option involves reflashing the firmware to get rid of the T-Mobile branding as well as giving you the ability to freely modify the settings. This option will provide you with a clean slate.

This thread should probably be moved to the Motorola board.

Thanks for all the help, I just talked to the company that sold me the phone and they are telling me that it cannot be changed to work with AT&T. So they are shipping me a new AT&T compatible phone to exhchange for this one. Hopefully that will fix all my problems, and I can go enjoy my new phone.
