Default Data capabilities lost with upgrade

so my friend had the Motorola L7 i think and she had full access to MEdia Net and MMS but when she upgraded to her Son Ericcson that she has now she lost all data access capabilities........is this something that a quick call to AT&T will fix or will she have to take it to a store??

Did your friend buy this phone from AT&T, or did they buy it somewhere else?

Final question (I think): Did she get a new SIM card, or is it the same one from her L7?

thats a good question and im 90% sure that she kept the SIM because she already had an AT&T 3G SIM at that point so they didnt give her a new one

If she kept her SIM card I would double check the phone's internet settings. You may also want to call 611 as I think that phone is capable of having the internet settings sent to it over the network.

okay....another thing characteristic of these phones is that above the signal bars there is usually a G for GPRS or an E for EDGE.........its nonexistant.......shen those icons disappear its usually something on AT&Ts ens......same as the packet data icons on Motos
