But usually its not for a couple days after the billing period is over because it doesnt post right away........ now.....AT&T also offers a "No Browse" option where MEdia Net doesnt work but IM and MMS and Email all still work......thats a possibility......if you did that and that stops all the charges then your good.

Sorry to revive an old thread, but I just got my AT&T bill today and I had a whole bunch of false data usage charges. There were numerous twice-daily charges at odd times of the day. These charges started, oddly enough, at the beginning of the billing cycle and continued even through today. Although AT&T credited my account for the billed charges (but not the unbilled ones), the customer service rep kept telling me that I must've accidentally accessed the Internet, even though there were so many charges and even though that my cell phone has a keypad lock and requires several steps to access the Internet. I went to the AT&T Wireless Forums and saw that other people had the same problem. AT&T is just asking for a class action lawsuit. |

I agree, I have had the same issue with them over the last 4-5 months. I would be willing to sign a petition, or whatever is required so that this will stop. I pay for the ability to send text/picture msgs and I should not be nickel'd and dime'd to death because of some erroneous data charge that can't be accurately explained to me. |
